Green Flags of Pediatricians: A Quality Recognition for Families
The Green Flags of Pediatricians represent a prestigious annual recognition awarded to the best Italian beaches for holidays with children.
The Requirements to Obtain the Green Flag in 2025
To be awarded the Green Flag of Pediatricians, beaches must meet a series of rigorous requirements, including:
- Clear, shallow water near the shore, ideal for the safety of children.
- Clean sand suitable for building castles and games.
- Presence of lifeguards and lifeboats to ensure safety in the water.
- Proximity to refreshment points to facilitate the management of meals and children's needs.
- Availability of games and areas dedicated to changing diapers and breastfeeding for the comfort of parents and newborns.
The Scientific Committee: Expert Pediatricians at the Service of Families
Every year, a technical-scientific committee composed of 35 pediatricians meets to evaluate the candidate beaches and, based on the services offered, select those that deserve the Green Flag. This process guarantees the seriousness and reliability of the recognition.
Green Flags: A Reliable Parameter for Family Friendly Holidays
The Green Flags of Pediatricians were established in 2008 on the initiative of Dr. Italo Farnetani and represent a valid point of reference for families who wish to choose a destination suited to the needs of children and experience a peaceful and fun holiday.
Council: Consult the updated list of Pediatric Green Flags for 2025 before planning your family vacation to choose the beach that best suits your needs.
