Il Fienile di Orazio, a certified organic agritourism company, is in the upper part of Sabina looking towards Umbria, towards Terni and the Marmore Falls, 86 kilometers from Rome.
The altitude is about 600 meters, a hill surrounded by mountains and woods, which can be explored on foot starting directly from the rooms.
Il Fienile has 6 rooms, 3 doubles and 3 family rooms, each different, with wooden floors and ceilings. Il Fienile is on two levels, with wood stoves: the lower floor houses the small restaurant of the farmhouse, the upper floor, all with large windows, is both a dining room for special occasions and a reading room for when it is cold outside.
The three buildings, farmhouse, barn, house of the rooms, surround a large lawn with shady trees and a small swimming pool to cool off like in a large ancient fountain.
Beyond the guest area there is the woods, the orchard, the vegetable garden, the large pens for pigs, donkeys, goats, the chicken coop, the vineyard and the olive trees, all of which can be visited upon request.
The atmosphere is well-kept and familiar, attentive to details but without unnecessary waste and disposable services.
The restaurant, with a very cool pergola for the summer, offers local and Roman cuisine with flavor and creativity, based on the company's products and homemade.
Here the children are protected and free at the same time: around and in front of the room buildings and the barn there is a large lawn, a little house, a swing and a nice log to ride, dogs and cats.
In other areas there are also many other animals: chickens and hens (depending on the season also chicks), and then ducks, ducks and geese; black pigs; 30 beautiful Alpine chamois goats, 3 male and female donkeys.
We organize (provided that groups of at least 5-8 children are formed) many activities, such as excursions, homemade pasta and cooking workshops, visits to fun and interesting places and facilities, English language weekends.
During the summer we organize camping weeks for children between 8 and 16 years old (all information on our website)
