A stone's throw from the centre of Perugia (8 km, 10 to 20 minutes depending on traffic) stands the Agriturismo La Fonte, immersed in the greenery of the Umbrian woods, below the old village surmounted by a splendid stone tower, with a view of the castle where Frederick Barbarossa rested.
The agritourism complex is the result of the renovation of agricultural buildings dating back to periods between 1600 and 1950.
The property is surrounded by 18 hectares of woods, meadows, olive groves, walnut groves and hazelnut groves, all very well cared for. Various dirt roads and paths allow you to move everywhere inside.
A charming lake fed by an underground spring closes the valley. The swimming pool (18 x 6 m) covered in mosaic and filled with salt water dominates a clearing in the middle of the pine forest. Five guest apartments have been created from an old tool shed and a stable, made with the same care with which the main house was finished.
Soft pastel colors distinguish the rooms and convey the same tranquil serenity that can be admired from the windows of the apartments, all overlooking the woods and valley below.
All accommodations are equipped with dishwasher, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, independent heating. Each has an equipped outdoor area with barbecue.

IL LAGO (57 Mq.) Room with kitchenette; two double bedrooms, bathroom. In the living room, the three-seater sofa converts into a double bed. For both blocks of building where the apartments are built, there is a room with washing machine and freezer available to guests.
Various animals share with the owners the privilege of living in this place; the horses with which Paola and Marco's four children took their first steps in horse riding graze peacefully among the approximately 400 olive trees arranged in an amphitheater. A pair of sheep and two goats live happily together in a large enclosure in the pine forest that marks the southern border of the property. Dogs and cats are obviously a must on a farm, but don't be alarmed! They are few and very well-behaved, almost as if they still felt the Franciscan influence of these lands.
And then the wild! You don't even have to be too lucky to come across a roe deer, a fox, a hare, or follow the slow evolutions of a bird of prey, during a sunset walk on one of the many paths that wind through the property.
If you think that swimming in the salt water pool (18 x 6) overlooking a clearing in the middle of the pine forest is too unrustic, you can go down a path and reach the small lake where an underground spring will refresh your thoughts even in the middle of a summer day. If you enjoy hunting for fish, try to get Tobia, the eldest son of the owners, who knows almost all the inhabitants of the lake by name, to accompany you!
