You can go canoeing and rafting along the river that runs along our estate for 2 km, horseback riding, sport fishing, mushroom picking during the harvest period, splendid walks along the river up to the wonderful "Orrido di Botri", discover the plants and farms of our estate... in short, spend a wonderful holiday.
Ideal for a break from daily stress, the environment is suitable for training and refresher courses as a classroom has been set up.
The ancient village of Pian di Fiume was inhabited until the Second World War.
Then the difficult housing conditions (lack of aqueduct, sewerage, electricity, road) motivated its abandonment and degradation.
Its conservative restoration, based on the most modern criteria of bio-architecture (solar panels, photovoltaic panels, phytoremediation, cork insulation, recovery and use of traditional materials) is part of an ambitious project: the creation of a happy island, an autonomous and self-sufficient environment that produces at a high quality standard, avoiding the low production level resulting from globalization, but which at the same time is competitive on the market.
This is why there are many rural elements: breeding of Cinte Senesi, goats, sheep, farmyard animals, fruit and vegetable cultivation, beekeeping with all the products of the hive; the sector is constantly expanding.
The environment is immersed in greenery and extremely quiet, disturbed only by the distant flow of the Lima stream and the birds in the trees, because only guests can access the village via a gate, a private bridge and a kilometre of road in the woods.
Walking through the property and along the coast of the crystal-clear stream, it is not difficult to come across ducks, squirrels, porcupines, badgers, foxes, pheasants, fallow deer, roe deer and other animals. 12 educational panels scattered along various paths explain the life of the forest, the productions and the traditional customs.
In the tavern, typical dishes of the local tradition are served (wood-fired bread, spianata pasta, ravioli, ricotta and cheeses, fine meat and sausages, chestnut flour, honey, jams, etc.).
The livingroom
The apartments are large and comfortable (40-50 m2) and have private outdoor spaces for eating and relaxing.
The interiors consist of kitchen-living room, sofa bed, bathroom, bedroom.
Then there are only rooms with bathroom.
Being a conservative restoration, each room is different from the other and has its own peculiarities.
Private environment with access only for guests.
Children can roam freely, in a safe environment, in contact with nature.
In our farm live free animals: goats, sheep, horses, chickens and pigs in the semi-wild state.
In our company flows the Lima stream with private access from our company.
